Traveling with the furnace running
Have a small fifth wheel, very little insulation, heading to FL in February from MA. I know some folks shut off the gas while traveling, I'm not of tha camp and have no problem running the fridge ...

I come from Mi. to Fla. in the cold winter months. I turn my Furnace on 55 in the TT. I also turn the heated tank switch on. I have no problems with using too much propane. The output of my alt. is enough to keep the bat. charged. The question is why wouldn't you run the furnace. You are getting a bunch of answers here from people that do not run the furnace and so they are guessing. Sucking the air out going down the road has not been a problem. When traveling in the winter I also leave the refer on. At our last rest stop for ythe day I turn the Water heater on.
