treatment at VA on the road??

I have done a search, can't find what I need. My husband is a disabled vet and we were trying to work around his appt. so we could head south the first of Oct. Problem is he has an apt in Nov. for his prostate cancer, an implant that gets done every 6 months. Question is can he register at a VA in the state we will be in and get it done there? Pont me in the direction to get this figured out and I would sure be grateful. His only bucket list thing other than seeing family is to go back to the Fort Polk area to see how it has changed since 1955/1957 when he was stationed there. Sure would like to make this happen if I can. Thanks

  • As a retired VA employee my best advice is to Call the patient advocate at your present VA and tell that person what you need. It is the advocates job to help you.
On the road you are at the mercy of the schedule for the seeds. Not all VA's do the procedure so you need to find one that does.
