Tricare

After researching the full time RV lifestyle for years and having been campers for the 30 years we have been married My wife and I are giving up the sticks and bricks and heading out to see the country and home school our custodial granddaughter with our 34D Fleetwood Flair and Dodge Durango "toad"
While I have found millions of helpful digits of data on all things mechanical about my coach and leads on work camping and have made contact with dozens of RV homeschoolers There is one thing that We still are not sure of TRICARE!
I am retired Army and while I continue to be blessed with great health my wife suffers from chronic bone problems and requires controlled medications. It all went well until I retired, Civilian healthcare providers treat you like a criminal drug addict when you show up needing prescription's. It is our hope that we will travel and when we arrive at military hospitals with the full faith and record of her treatment history we can get her medications filled. We realize we will have to be seen on a space A basis that's fine I just need to know if this plan is to simplistic or if it has worked for others Thank you for your time.

    Thanks for your service!
Tricare is easy for us to work with.

Problem lies with some pharmacies. My wife was on narcotics for several years. We have a good quack. He prescribes the medicines for 90 day refills. In some cases, wife's dope was only 30 day supply with x number of refills.
We get our drugs through Walmart stores. When she needed refills, we located a pharmacy that was a couple to a few days out on our trips. We requested refill, Walmart if needed would electronically send refill request to quack. We never had any problems. We had one that the pharmacy didn't stock enough of the correct dose and had to wait for an extra day.
Do not bet on getting drugs at all military hospitals.
