Thank you all for the support, I know I made the right decision to walk. Donn0128, since you are also from Ore-gun, I am sure you are familiar with the long time dealer on Portland Road in N. Salem. They used to be family owned but got bought out by another "family" which happens to be a bunch of investors who live out of state!
As for the deal w/o trade, the paper that got slapped down in front of me had a figure that I later calculated to be about 15% off MSRP. I did much better then that on my last deal with that same dealer!
We will be waiting until the snow flies to make another deal and will have hopefully sold our present trailer ourselves by then.
