My hubby put his hand through a table saw, three years ago. Luckily they saved his thumb, even though there is only 1/4 " bone and the rest wire. He has damage to his fingers. Anyway.....he got trigger finger in two. He had surgery and so far has no issue. He wore a splint for a week and then started to move his fingers. He had no steroids or pain medicine.
Before surgery hubby did have physiotherapy to try to release them. Probably about 4 months of 3 times a week. The surgery is quite simple, done in day surgery. My hubby was very lucky that when he had his accident the surgeon on call happens to be one of the best hand surgeons in the country.
