My folks made this decision this past Fall. Dad is 89 and Mom is 76. For the last year, Dad wouldn't go unless I was there to help them, then he decided he wasn't going again. Two emergency room trips and hospitalizations while in the MH had him pretty adamant about it. Mom would likely be able to go without Dad, but going with him is sometimes like going with a toddler. He is unstable walking, quite forgetful and easily distracted. Makes it really difficult for Mom alone.
I guess if where you don't feel comfortable going, then you should stay home (I don't mean that to be ugly in anyway). Just last week, I had reservations at St Park about an hour away and decided to stay home, because I had quite a lot of sinus congestion and didn't feel comfortable making the drive and then trying to set up. If you aren't going to use the Winne, you probably would be better off selling. They don't sit well without being used.
