If traffic is clear in the lane behind me and I signal for a lane change, in I theory have the right of way. Sometimes I want to run the guy who can't stand being behind an RV off the road, I don't because it is very expensive and dangerous, besides most times a half hour later when I pull off the road there is that jerk two car lengths ahead of me getting off too.
Hold on... I have never heard that the person changing lanes has right-of-way. I've always thought you had to wait for there to be a clear space before moving over.
