When I am on the highway and someone is trying to merge on from a ramp - if they don't turn their head I assume they don't see me. I definitely don't trust their mirror.
If they come down the ramp and don't look they may end up shoulder driving. It is their responsibility to MERGE not mine to move over for them, a lesson from 750K and 80,000lbs. I will move IF I can but there maybe something preventing me from doing so. I also do everything I can to move left for any emergency service.
