that's nothing more than a low-profile, Omni-directional antenna. it may work well if you're in an area where the TV signals are strong...usually an urban area. but it may be a different story out in the boonies.

there are two basic factors to receiving a watchable TV picture. a good receiver and an antenna that can receive the signal. TV signals are, basically, line-of-sight. that means anything that gets between the transmit point and the receive point (your antenna) will affect the quality of the signal. trees, topography, other RV's etc. the farther away you are from the transmit point the greater the negative effect. the higher in the air you can get the antenna the better off you will be.
  • It's actually a directional antenna and it is the biggest piece of junk ever made. These are standard issue on ENG news trucks and they destroy themselves very fast, I know, I used to fix/ replace them. They are literally built with styrofoam and tape. Buy one and you'll see.

Buy a Batwing or a Jack
  • I have a Lava OmniPro HD-8008 and love it. Have it laying in the cab over and it does fair. Have piece of aluminum conduit that I can attach it to that is clamped to the ladder then it does excellent. Can set this up in under 5 minutes and no aiming required. Have been able to pull in stations that the standard bat wing RV antennas wont. HD-8008 link
  • I have a Jack antenna. One of the best $40 I`ve put into our TT! picked up 10X the station my old antenna did.
  • best all around antenna for an RV is the Wineguard Sensar IV. The Jack will not perform as well in the boonies
