Any Recommendations for TV viewing? some RV parks do not provide or have available cable TV what do any of you full timers use for TV other than antenna?

I would think that the answer to this would be fairly obvious......if one just looks around a bit in any sizable RV park.If your are addicted to TV, then a portable satellite setup is about the only good option.Othewise, take whatever you can get over the air and get the rest of your entertainment from "nature".

Satellite: Dish or DirecTV. You can have TV anywhere as long as the antenna has no obstacles blocking the southern sky.

We're not fulltimers but we use Directv.

The first question is how much is TV worth to you, for how long?Can you do without and use a DVD player for a couple days, or are you going to be on the road for weeks at a time? Are you going to be in areas close to cities with over-the-air TV stations, or in remote campgrounds far from any TV signal.A dish receive is the only way to ensure you have TV at most locations. It will limit your choice of campsites, because you need a clear view of the sky where the satellites are located. Forget about using those tucked away isolated shady camping spots.If you have a S/B house, or other physical residence - I recommend you get Direct TV.If you already have Dish or are not planning to keep a physical residence - get Dish Network.Basically, Direct TV requires your primary receiver be in a 'home' location - you can temporarily take it in your RV, or take a second receiver in the RV.Dish Network allows you to change your "service address" as much as you want as you travel around.(We are full-timers and have Dish Network. Direct TV won't talk to us when we say we don't have a home address for the primary receiver.)

will not be using anything for now, cost is the issue so we will rely on the antenna.

That is why dish was such a good deal for me. It is like 105$ for home and rv, 5$ of that being rv.

Can you describe your setup? Hopper w/Sling? What unit do you have in your RV?
Reason I ask is I have Hopper w/sling and Joeys for my home but am adding Dish to my 5er and am trying to figure out what to do. Shor

While moving either requires

traveling only along a freeway through a well populated area which will have strong cell phone access. She can stream her program live to her phone or tablet.

The other option is an 'In-Motion' satellite dish setup. Those are only suitable for Class A and some Class C rigs and are not cheap.

T-Mobile has had unlimited Video Stream for some time now, and not just their pet source either, but several sources.

Same for Music streaming.

AT&T is just playing catchup and not doing it well, once again.

I have dish too and can watch my recordings and home tv but I have to watch my data limits on my phone. I have no trouble with download speeds with ATT lte service on my iPhone. The key to the direct tv offer there is no data limits for watching tv on the app.

Yes, since my average urban area RV campground has a 3 bar LTE ATT signal - I can almost watch video. Only three or four staggers every minute. However, for my daughter in Plano - it is a great app/ option/ benefit.

Oh BTW, ATT won't sell me Direct TV because I'm a full-timer without a SB home/ address even after announcing the new app. The new app plan doesn't apply to mobile users outside their home area - according to ATT customer service/ sales.

ATT will convert me to a new unlimted data plan with no overage, however, they will drop my download speeds down to 3G after 5GB each month.

I have an app on my phone for dish, I can watch all dvr and live TV anytime I want to.
