Typical cost of selling via consignment?
Just wondering about the cost of having a consignment place sell a Class A motorhome. Is there a base $ amount or a percentage they charge?

I finally went to using consignment and never looked back.
THE best thing I have done when selling my RV's!
I tell them what I want for the RV and they can sell it for whatever they want and/or the market will bear.
The best part is THEY take care of all the paperwork, title,financing. When we sell our RV's by our self we can't offer financing! So it opens up a broader buyer base. Buyer sees it on the lot, wants it, they get them financed!!
They called me when it was sold and had a check waiting for the amount I asked for it. Why should I care what profit they made on it? It got SOLD!
I would suggest to put your RV on consignment at your local in town RV dealer that you most likely have been frequenting and using for years for maint, repair, sales, supplies, equipment etc. They know you and you know them to be reputable from giving them your business.
I will never sell another on of my RV's on line, or by myself ever again! IMHO consignment is the only way to go! :B
