Not sure if you have any open campgrounds at all up there now. But we will do during the winter is go a little further south to Myrtle Beach (4 hr drive for us) for a long weekend. We won't dewinterize the motorhome. We will leave it winterized. We make sure we park close enough to walk to a bath house and just use the bath house. Don't use the plumbing in the camper. Carry some jugs of water and don't pour down the drain. Pour into a plastic wash basin that we can carry outside and pour down the outside sewer trap. We usually eat out. But if we cook there on site, we normally do something easy that requires no or very little cleanup. Heat up water on stove and wash whatever in the plastic wash basin. Beats having to dewinterize, use the sewer hose and rewinterizing. It's not an every day thing, but is good for a trip every now and then. Matter of fact, we are headed to MB in 2 weeks for a 4 day trip. Daughter is out of school for a couple days right after a weekend. Wife and I took a couple days of PTO.
