I have had my rig for over 10 years camping in all weather conditions here in Ontario Canada including LOTS of wet winter driving and when I cracked open the belly of my KZ to install heat pads and heat trace it was as dry as a bone.
Can't imagine California being wetter than here so I would hazard to guess unless you had a big rip in the coroplast it'll be as dry as a bone under yours as well.
