Just a thought here.
Could the PO have worked in some kind of construction or maintenance? I work at a large facility that uses GOJO and we get clogged drains all the time from that stuff. It coats the pipes like lard and is NASTY!!
IS there any way to bring hoty water from the house to flush the tank with? That might help
