Count yourself LUCKY! I have had a Demco KarKaddy, W/surge brakes, for the last 6 years. My Chrysler Minivan fit just fine and the steerable wheels made things nice. The fold up feature enabled me to store the unit in a confined space as well.
In the last 3 years while on the road I have experienced 6 flat tires one of which was caused by a puncture. The other five flats we have discovered came from air leaking from the wheel rim. The first time I paid Demco for a new tire and wheel ($365). It should be noted that ONLY the SPECIFIED WHEEL dimension will function without interferring with the steering. More flats involving my other Demco rims have me frustrated to the point of "giving up" on the KarKaddy.
I have had a discussion with Demco and they replaced one rim free of charge. I was told anymore replacements would involve a complicated process of my buying the new rims then applying for credit upon returning my "holy" rims.
I have installed tubes in all the wheels to preclude the air from leaking. I am told this however is unadvisable as it can cause tire failure.
My faith in the tow dolly has been totally destroyed I will never again use the Demco tow dolly.
