Yes we have opposing slides and yes the recliners do have to be turned to close the slides for travel. The area where the sofa is currently is within the slide with the dinette. We have measured several times but have not been out shopping for the furniture yet. We did take into consideration removing the backs to fit through the door. Appreciate the info.
