Still my vote is if you traveled through the state, you have been there, and can claim it.
It really does not matter to me if the old Class C went there, my current class A or not. I was there and camped in most of the western states, as well as one tour through the south. It would be difficult and would require answering a lot of questions if you drove to Disney World and did not stop in Georgia or Alabama but claimed Florida as a state that you went to. Arrived by barge or ferry boat or something?
