If the resell company wants money upfront they are nothing but a scam. They will take your money and you will never hear another thing from them. Then you will be further in the hole than you are now.
If the resell company takes a portion of the sale price as commission, they might be legitimate.
You can always advertise on Craiglist or list it on eBay but expect to keep the price extremely low. The timeshare market has been dead for years and resell is nearly impossible.
