Va State Parks & Dog fees
A while back we had a thread going with the pro's and con's of the Va State Park Dog fee's ($5 per night, per dog-max 3 nights) there were a lot of thoughts of better ways to offset the "cost" of pet'...

From my experience, I will NOT stay in a VA state park for two reasons: 1) I want site specific reservations and 2) all these extra fees are nothing more than a tax that penalize certain groups (pet owners)That said, I would have no problem with a REFUNDABLE deposit. If I stay with pets, clean up after them, keep them quite, then I should not be penalized for doing so. If you charge me a non refundable fee, why should I clean up after them, the fee I paid will go toward clean up. (not that I would do that but I can see some thinking that)
