When we left for our last cruise it was easiest for us just to find a nice park and leave it there. We took the monthly rate since it cost roughly 2.5 weeks of stay, asked the owners if it was OK prior to leaving the rig. Plugged in the electric and left.
The other times we've left our rig it has always been in a park that we were spending the winter at. Had neighbors that would keep an eye on it even. We've never had a problem while we were gone.
