I like that: a vacation from the vacation. Our homes on wheels are like stick and shingles - it's nice to get a break from them and change our scenery.
Long term cgs and RV storage facilities are both options. With the cg, at least there will be people around to keep an eye out on your rig. Storage facilities are usually only fenced and isolated: determined thieves have been known to climb them and rifle stored RVs. My vote is for a cg with monthly options.
