vent fan question..

My laredo has a vent fan in the living area that I have to turn on with a wall switch. When on it automatically raises the cover. It looks like a fantastic fan but not sure. There isn't a maxx air over it, and I want to put one on it. I have a standard cover and am wondering if that will work, or if a need a different model?

If you find out it's a fantastic fan, they do make a Ultrabreeze cover for them. We had 2 fans installed in our coach and had 3 of these vent covers installed as well. The extra went over the bathroom vent. They are more expensixe, but I think they look better. And they claim to work better.

Thanks for the link. The bathroom has the cheapo fan which is pretty useless.

  • I pick the camper up Saturday. I'll take a pic and post it.
  • True enough that not all Fantasic fans have sensors. I put one in our bathroom to get rid of the noisy cheaply fan that was OEM. No rain sensor on it.

    True!
Mine have a thermostat and are reverseable but don't have a rain sensor.
  • Sprinkle the roof with a garden hose while the fan is on. If it automatically closses it is a Fantastic Fan.
  • You may have an issue if the cover doesn't allow the vent to fully open. Not so much an issue with a manual vent, but perhaps with the automatic cover. I believe they make covers for the vents with fans.
