So the OP was impatient and nearly ran over some children and it was their fault? Did I read that correctly? Do you run over bicyclists and pets also if they don't move out of the way?

Slow down, relax, get off of your seat and talk to them. Tell them that you can't drive very well and need more room to maneuver.
