OP is not that good at descriptive writing. Words are free for you on a discussion board. Please use many of them.
Try something like: I was pulling my 5ver on the camp road. A father and 5 children were fishing and partially in the road. I pulled up stopped and asked them to move. The only response was to move the tackle box a few inches. I again warned them of the danger. I was ignored, so I inched forward. My outboard wheels clipped the tackle box.
The way the OP described it is open to any interpretation I care to apply .
Did you get their full attention when you noticed the danger?
Did you ask them to move in a non belligerent manner? Or did you demand in a tone that invites confrontation?
When you saw that there was not enough room did you get out of your vehicle to point out the danger?
The op's choice of verbiage in his heading leads me to believe that he is impatient and not at all tolerant of others foibles.
Did the scenario go something like this, "Hey, get the heck out of the way!" "Come on I've got to get on the road!"
I drove a large delivery vehicle on a college campus, and many times I had to drive in a "cautiously aggressive" manner. Sounds like an oxymoron but most delivery drivers know how to do it,and do it safely. Never did I come close to contacting a person or object.
