vertically mounted fan with rain cover--is it a good idea?

A carpenter friend of mine has a cargo van he works out of. He was talking about how hot it gets in the summer, and I suggested a MaxxFan, with the rain cover built in. He is reluctant to put one in...

Probablly not, use the fan one summer and then take the four scews that hold the fan motor off rotate the fan 180 and instal back, this will give the motor bearings some more life, squirrel cage fans run horizontal and do not have problems so this one should be good.

If the work trailer has a generator I would use a small atic fan, they are mounted on a wall and install a normal RV vent also on the wall.
