Plugs melting down on a 30 amp RV cord shows there is a serious problem as per examples posted in this thread.
We have a 30 amp RV and currently have it set up while the outlet is 30 amps we get the power through a 50' 12 gauge ext cord from HF. Even when pulling 25 amps that cheap cord or the $5 adapter at the MH do not get hot. There is nearly 25' of coiled 30 amp RV power cords in the bay that the AC passes through to get to the breaker box.
