If you have a 30A RV you should stick to plugging it into the 30A outlet or a lower AMP. The cords made for 30Amp are normally only (10/3)Gauge wire, and 50A cable uses (6/3)(8/1)Gauge.
Using an adapter like this one is fine if you absolutely have to...BUT
50A to 30A Adapter
Be aware you can only draw what your cord / breakers / surge protector allow. Most times we see people use these types of "upsizing," dogbones and forget the cord running to their RV is only rated for 30A, and they run too much power. This will overheat / burn the 30A cord up over time.
