Video: Finding and Refilling Boondocking Water

Two questions we often see on RV forums and Facebook groups both relate to boondocking water: where to find it, and how to refill it while staying long term. My new video today shows how we deal with both issues:

I welcome your feedback! If you've got other solutions I'd love to hear them.

  • A small 'garden battery' works fine for transfer pumping.
  • Kind of a bummer the advice on finding water is "use the apps that sponsor me."

Apps aren't available for all areas, and don't work when there's no cell service.

Edit: I realized my feedback was not constructive. Here's suggestions:

Ask the gas station after filling up, more often than not they have a hose available

Research your area for municipal parks and sporting areas, they will have water.

Research your area for natural springs that allow removal of water, most do, some don't

Used to be interstate rest area and welcome center were reliable sources of water and waste dump... That era of generosity is mostly over, most States seem to hate RVs now by my observation.
