Agree it's a lot of trailer for the tv, but there's probably more than one factor causing the accident and there's nothing saying a pu would have saved the day.
The GSP is an incredibly fast road...what was his speed? As pointed out, did he apply the trailer brakes (inexperience)? What started the away? Was it the passing vehicle or was he texting/talking on the phone? Was the trailer properly loaded?
