This RVers crash was very unfortunate. However this RVer was illegal the moment he left his house and got on the road. It is clear from the video the the driver did not have towing mirrors such that they could see around their trailer.
Recently, I did a short trip and saw that many did not have them. So I started watching for proper towing mirrors, about half did not have them. Keep your distance from any and all trailers.
