Video Yosemite Flood 4-7-2018

Usually in March and April Yosemite experiences Frazil Ice...awesome to see.

I was fortunate and was there on April 8 (the day it opened back up) for a 4 day trip. The water went down fairly quickly though you could see in the trees how high the water had been. I know the closure ruined a lot of peoples vacation plans. But on the positive side the park was fairly empty for the days I was there.

my guess the employees, were not going to break the rules

drone view of the falls, would have been awesome
but i think the first person view, shows off the power of the flooding
even without showing area wide view of flooded acrege

Drone video would have really been awesome! What better time than when the park is evacuated as well.

True, but flooded roads, flooded camps, crews clearing debris to protect bridge's, make it a dangerous place to be

Great video. Amazing footage. The waterfalls are unbelievable! Too bad everyone can’t get to see them at that stage of flow?
