This forum probably isn't the place where I want to mention the description of the person I generally come up upon while passing them after watching them drive for abit in front of me. :)
I was sitting here thinking the same thing. For a year or so I have been telling my DW that there is IMO, two folks who you can I identify by their driving habits. I have my flame proof suit on so I'm going to tell you what I told the DW. The two folks who scare me as bad as a drunk driver are folks using their cell phones, talking or texting while holding a hands free device, non-turn signal users and(flame away) Millenniums of the gentler persuasion. The DW disagreed with me a year ago, then she started watching the aggressive lane changers, speed up slow down, weaving and tailgating drivers pointing out to me when I was wrong and the offenders were middle aged men.
Guess what, she now after mentally keeping track of the offending drivers for awhile, AGREES with me.
I will add that we live in the center of a group of Hipster areas and most of our driving is within ten miles of our home. On the freeway I find that there are at least as many folks of every demographic driving poorly. Mostly its men(young and old) driving at very high rates of speed, but there are as many women(young mostly) tailgating and changing lanes irresponsibly(read that as "no signal" and moving into small a space) as there are men doing it.
My wife drives much more than I do, I usually prefer having her drive in urban traffic because she has a more even temperament than I. I would leave this urban sprawl far behind if I could, there are TMP(To Many People) and therefore, TMC(To Many Cars) for me. I feel like I am living in an area and era that is proving B. F. Skinners theories were correct and I get upset driving in this city.
Okay, I'm done with my rant and would prefer being on the road with you folks because we all drive much better than any other demographic.
