Don't get me started on drivers: don't use turn signals, don't dim at night on 2-lanes. drive into my trunk even if I an driving a little over the limit, pass then slow back down to my speed, pass only to turn off in a few miles, don't stop at stop signs and on and on. I don't know about interstates being safer than 2 lanes. Maybe but we prefer a leisurely pace on 2-lanes and find interstates boring and congested in many places. You probably don't want to get behind me on a 2-lane as I will be going 55 to 58 which I am legally and ethically allowed to do. Really no faster on interstate for that matter. Haven't had an accident in 55 years while moving.
