Hello Workampers!
Back Bay NWR is a beautiful national wildlife refuge in southeastern Virginia. We are currently searching for enthusiastic RV site hosts for a day-use canoe/kayak launch site for the 2015 season. The site offers a trailer pad with electricity and a non-potable water hook-up.
Responsibilities include maintaining the canoe/kayak site (mowing, trash disposal, small restroom upkeep)and working with the visiting public - providing information and overseeing the public use of the site.
There is also an opportunity to become involved with a variety of refuge projects, from the sea turtle conservation program to leading refuge tours to assisting with maintenance projects.
If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity please contact Walt Tegge, Visitor Services Manager at (757)821-1845 or Walter_Tegge@fws.gov.
Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Back Bay NWR
