VW - Can it be towed 4wheel down?
Can a Volkswagon be towed 4 wheel down? -- Anyone have any experience with one? Standard or automatic??

Check the owners manual for model in question. Mt or AT as well as driveline Front Wheel Drive 4WD or AWD may make a difference.. An acquaintance of ours purchased a Toureg FWD AT on the assurance of the VW dealer that it could be towed 4 down, but later found out that it could NOT, even with modifications, Lube Pump. They now own a tow dolly as well as a dusty Blue Ox tow bar.
