- jwmIIExplorerThose nincompoops in Waco would have been looking for a fight if they had ridden in on Schwinns.
- dspencerExplorerA few years ago the DW and I were camped down in the Ozarks in a privately owned campground when on a Friday night a large group of bikers rode in and pitched there tents or for the weekend. They were right across from where we were camped and they were by far the most courteous and helpful bunch of guys I've ever camped around.
I am 60 year's old and have been around bikers of all kinds all my life and have yet to ever run into one that wouldn't help you out if you needed him. Some of them might not be out of there way friendly but that doesn't make them a bad person. They can camp next to me anytime! - RVcircusExplorer II99% of bikers are regular guys & the other 1% couldn't care less about you. I'm more concerned with sunburn on my left arm while driving.
- donkeydewExplorermust have been watching reruns of the wild ones on late night tv
- mlts22Explorer IIThere are a lot worse things to be afraid of. Biker gangs? Low on my list. Most are there for recreation, and the ones out on "business" are doing a completely different line of work than me, so there is no crossover.
I'm far more afraid of the squids riding the crotch rockets zooming along in the breakdown lane than the squad of vets on their Harleys in formation. - garyhauptExplorerJust thought.....if you compare who is gonna make more people angry, a group of say..50 motorcycle people, or a group of 50 RV's traveling in a tight group, as in a 'wagon train'....

We may in the future have to travel in Wagon Trains like the old west if we let these Biker gangs to continue to rule the road.
Just last month I had about 30 Bikers pass me in North Texas. Did not think much about it at the time. But if I had caused one of them a problem when they were passing me I may have had a very serious problem!
Most weekend "Biker Gangs"...(really just clubs or groups) are 50+ year old Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers and Jay Leno...out for a cruise together.
You have nothing to fear but fear itself... - dwayneb236ExplorerI'm a police officer and I ride a motorcycle. I have never felt any danger or threat from any group of riders, at work or just pleasure riding. Like stated, the 1% gangs don't deal with regular people. They're beefs are with other 1% gangs. I've pulled over bikers who are obviously the real deal and got nothing but respect out of them. They just want to be given their ticket or whatever and go on their way. I for sure don't condone what they do, but they'll not bother you if you don't bother them.
Heck, we've been told as police officers there are bounties put out on us by these groups and I'm still more worried about going into a domestic situation than dealing with them. Relax and enjoy the drive. They'll pass soon enough. - beemerphile1Explorer

Oh puhleeze. I've yet to see where "Biker gangs...rule the road."
And that's a bad link.
X2 on that and the sky's falling!
As a motorcyclist myself (not a 1 percenter) I have always found the paranoia regarding bikers comical. I have been around the 1% many times without trouble. It is about like anyone else, you stay out of their business and they stay out of yours. - Roman_DuckExplorer
