Walking (crawling) on the roof

I get on mine to clean my solar panels,you will be ok

It probably depends on how heavy you are but they had to walk on it to install the roof in the first place so anyone of normal build should be OK.

You might want to check your manual first. I thought mine seemed a little iffy.
The manual says not to walk on it.
Put 1/2" plywood on top first to spread the load.
I did sit on the edge and kinda lay on it to put my covers on. It seemed fine.
I'm sure if I stayed right on rafters it would be OK, but I didn't want the old foot thru the ceiling trick.

My manual did not address this, that's why I asked here...

as a rule of thumb no ladder on back not a walkable roof get plywood dispurse your weight

I found this on page 13-8 of your manual:

"The RV roof has decking under the rubber roof membrane to allow you to walk on the roof (with caution) to do maintenance."

all JayFlights come with a walk on roof .... all regular JayFlights come with the backer boards that are needed if someone wants to add a ladder

You can have a dealership put them on for you. They do it pretty cheaply.

And how would you suppose they would do it? WALK ON THE ROOF!

Yep, you can walk on the roof. I would say 200lbs max. My old Cherokee Lite i felt the roof was iffy, but it still held me. Now my 07 Cherokee i have no problems with stepping anywhere on the roof.
