I had a problem once at a Walmart; the side of the store we were directed to was where all the refrigeration units were located. Man, those things were loud cycling off and on all night!
Seriously, tell them to get lost or you will be calling the police. Would you open a motel room to a stranger? Never open the door in this situation and don't even engage in conversation thru a window.
BTW, overnighting in a Walmart is nowhere near the boondocks so you are not boondocking.
