My smartphone works only intermittently out here. (That's what happens when you live in the middle of nowhere )

Paper maps are getting hard to find. I usually go online and use something like MapQuest to find where I want to go. Then I print out the directions.

The internet crashes a lot around here too so MapQuest is intermittent

It's getting harder and harder with each passing year to find my way to places.

Allstays app for a smart phones will show wallmarts that welcome campers and those that don't. Also many others as well like Cabellas, Cracker Barrell, Pilot J, etc

If you are insured with State Farm, many of the agent's have them for their clients. They usually arrive in Nov or Dec for the following year.

Just picked up a 2018 last week. They do go fast though.

I have apps on my phone and GPS that are updated regularly that will find Walmart stores wherever I am. I haven't bothered getting the atlas in several years.

I've got a 2017 version and the 2018 should be out toward the end of the year. Don't delay once they are out as they do sell out and the supply is generally less than the demand, so some people don't get a new one they wanted.
