I was listening to a regional talk show and the host was saying that Wal-Mart is making a corporate shift away from allowing parking due to the impact of the homeless in many communities. Basically abusing the generosity and creating an unsafe environment. I am unable to find any corporate statement about this though. I did come across an article out of Salem Oregon though,
Homeless in RVs, vans, cars can no longer stay overnight at WalmartI can't say I blame Wal-Mart though, it was never meant to be used for more then a night and never meant to become a homeless camp, if you have to have the police come out a lot then it's time to end the practice.
