Walmart....."NO......"

Always have seen a bunch of rigs parked (camping) at our local Walmart.

Yesterday there was a crew putting up signs on all the light poles. "NO OVERNIGHT PARKING."
Just thought it was interesting. Seems to be a trend everywhere.

    Possibly city ordinance change.
Could also be that there were a lot of "campers" living in the parking lot in run down trailers, trashing it up and causing trouble.
Like most things, all it takes is a few idiots to ruin it for everyone else.
  • Town folks/Town council probably finally got tired/fed up with the 'stealth' camping.

There are always a few that abuse and hence make it necessary to take stronger actions.

Local Walmart got to the point that a shootout with Police and death of one of the vagrants push town council into action.
Should have occurred earlier but w/o ordinance/signage Police were regulated to 'shooing' them away only to have them return.

    Kudos to the town council.

Apparently, RVers wore out their welcome.
  • Most of the time it is a local city ordnance that prohibits overnight parking.

Either local area RV parks or motels, or local residents who see overnight parking as a security risk or just ‘unsightly’.

What has your city council/ county commission been up to lately?

mostly its the "Towns" and "Cities" demanding it. aka Police issues.

    my opinion

I like to do chain restaurants. that welcome "RV"'s
