I also am interested to hear about this mattress. We bought a new Beauty Rest a couple years ago and have not been happy with it. At this point we are going to pursue warranty issues. It really burns me that the price of the better brands of mattresses and they don't hold up!
We have had a 2" memory foam on the MH and house bed for many years and have found that once we got used to using it we could not sleep on a bed without it. The main issue with beds for folks of lets say "older years" is we need firm support especially if anyone happens to be heavier rather than smaller but need a soft top for joint comfort.
However I caution about putting a foam topper on a worn out mattress...the lumps and gullies will still remain. And a 24 yr old mattress will be so full of dust mite poop...it will weight 3 times what it did originally and is a health hazzard...it's best to ditch it ASAP.
We are indeed interested in replacing both of our mattresses that will be of better quality and supply the comfort and support we need.
