When the DW bought her new Ford from the local dealer, I almost punched the finance guy as he was really trying to sell her a warranty on her new car and badgered her so bad she almost cried. I finally found the used car mgr who I knew and told him what was happening and he shut him down. I was so P/O that I missed the deal where if she financed the car for 90 days,she'd get another $500 off the price,she was gonna write a check but that extra $500 sounded too good. Five months later she told me that she was going to pay her car off and I asked her what she meant and she told me about the deal. They had charged her 16.99% as she didn't have credit in her name and she had paid them over $3000 extra.... Whoa and I went in with an attorney friend and got ALL of the interest back.
Oh and never had any problems with that 2009 Escort yet.
