I retired at 46 but it didn't work out as I had planned so back to the grind.
Retired again at 66 and that was almost 11 years ago. Worked out great this time and the Wife of 55 years and I still enjoy traveling some. The last 20 or so years before retirement we were on the road Working and living in RV full time, moving from job to job.
If you love your job don't retire early.
If you don't really care for your job retire as soon as practicable.
