I retired in '05 at 63 years old.
I was a aircraft jig and fixture/tool builder (hard and soft) for 39 years. Loved the work but new boss was a first class jerk so I made a early out.
Anyhow sure miss those guys I worked with for all those 39 years. Many are gone now but we still have a breakfast at Dennys every 90 days.
I have 40 acres to take care of....when I want to.
Plus we have grand kids and great grand kids in FL and UT so we do a lot of road work.....when we want to.
I'm a mechanical person and take care of my trucks cars tractors mowers baler house barns.....when I want to.
Just finished tiling the kitchen back splash for the wife....did it when I wanted to.
In the morning we go to the hospital and meet another new great grandson who the doctor says is arriving at 8:30 am. Then back home to go fishin' or .....what ever I want to.
I love retirement.
