When I first married the DW she brought a 20" box fan into the bedroom and fired it up. I slept in silence for the first 18 years of my life, thought what the heck is this about?
Fast forward about 7 years, I stayed overnight at a hotel for work. Finally a night of silence. Couldn't sleep at all.
I travel overnight almost every week for work now. After 23 years I can't begin to fall asleep without a fan. We keep looking for a smaller fan to put in the suitcase but loud enough to be effective.
