Curious what others do when it comes time to washing their RV while on the road. (Motor home, fiver, TT). A lot of campgrounds do not allow washing your unit on the site, and a lot of campgrounds don't have the means to anyway. I know some folks who camp at campgrounds where it is allowed, but its not in all cases. Driving hundreds or thousands of miles on the road dirty's the RV and I would like to wash it before parking it on a campsite for a week. Fire away with suggestions and experiences. Thanks!

we use a truck wash when we need one. they are typically near truck stops along the interstate highways. Blue Beacon is the name of a chain. For our rig, it costs around $40.00 (rate is according to footage of rig) and sometimes, we pay a little more and get our toad washed off at the same time.

It has never occurred to me to wash the rig when on a trip. But I know our city has a self serve coin operated car wash, I'm sure many others do too. Be a lot less than $40! google your destination city and car wash, see what's there.

Can't see many RV's getting/fitting into one of those self serve car washes.... BUT if you find one, no reason not to use it...

I have used Blue Beacon... Wash/Wax all, and washed at my site all depending on rules.

We've never had an issue finding a campground that doesn't mind. Not every campground but enough that it's not an issue.

Also, it's common to see a large vehicle bay at car washes. I'm sure you could use that for under $10...that said, I'm not crazy about pressure washers on RVs. It's too easy to blast out caulk.

Truck Stops can wash your RV. BUT I would ask them to hand wash/brush wash your rig and not to use the high pressure wash gun as it could peal off your decals.

I've seen RV friendly self serve washes in a few locations (Custer, SD and Pinedale, WY come to mind). So I'm sure they exist all over. The one in Custer also had a dog wash.

Self serve coin operated washes but I’m very careful with the high pressure. Back off!
