You will probably NOT find one without an anode. Remove it and install a plug.

You can jsut remove the anode rod, I don't know why but you can. You can also pull the drain plug and install an extension and a drain valve. Almost any water heater could be modified to meet you requirements.

Atwood water heaters don't have Anode rods. They have a plastic plug. Just don't use the gas part.

Per your no anode rod requirement you are looking for an Atwood (now Dometic) as they have an aluminum tank and no anode rod. LinkUnfortunately all the Atwood water heaters are also propane fired. As suggested above about the only thing you could do is install an Atwood and just not hook up to Propane.You might try searching the Dometic site for non RV water heaters to see if they have anything you could use. But what you find may not fit in the standard water heater sized opening.

It sounds to me like you're basically looking for a small non-RV electric water heater. Most do have anode rods, however, but not attached to the drain plug. All I've seen have a hand valve for draining. They're radily available in various voltages and wattages. (Do bear in mind that a 120V 1.5 kW heater is not going to heat water super quickly.)

If your water is clean enough very little Crud collects in the water heater. I realize in a camper where you are going all over the country you don't have much of a choice to how good the water is.

In my home the Rheem Marathon electric water heater that the power company installed for free has no drain plug on it to let the crud out.

Do that and you will increase the chance of a leak by 50%. Anode is a sacrificial rod to keep the water from attacking the steal tank.

Exactly like the WH in your house. It has a anode rod also.

Just a comment on the electric only...
Sunday night (Well technically Easter Monday morning) a tornado came to visit just up the road.. Missed me (and the camnpground) but not the power line. There was no electric till late Wed Evening.

Now with my dual-fuel (Gas/Electric) I still had hot and cold runing water
With my Onan doing occasional service the batteries held so i was able to Internet via my cell phone and watch TV and cook

But the propane was a food saver.

Another thing. Propane recovery time is 15-20 minutes Electric 2x that so if you are using hot water.. Well my Atwood I can use both at the same time and if I had a 1500 watt element 15 minute recovery is not out of range... Dang near an unlimited shower (I have a 375 watt element however).

Why do you want electric only? If you have a trailer and if you ever plan to sell it I suggest you follow some of the advice offered up here. Get an ATWOOD heater that does both gas and electricity. Don't connect up the gas, just use the electric.

I surely do not know but I am guessing two things. First of all, if you have a standard trailer the Atwood will fit into the existing space. The cost might be equal to or less than a special electric only heater.

Incorrect. Atwoods don't have anodes and are quite common. Just a plastic drain plug.
Not sure if they make a electric only WH.
