- SamsonsworldExplorerEven my dogs drink bottled water.
- GordonThreeExplorerSame results could be coaxed from plenty of sources.
For kicks, read up on the increasing concentration of cancer drugs, estrogen, etc in the drinking water of major cities, thanks to folks flushing their medicine down the toilet. - joelcNomadOk. Straight from the internet. From an Ecology Center. "tested water coming from standard garden hoses and found that it can contain lead, endocrine disruptors and neurotoxins, especially in older hoses." The article then goes on to explain where these come from. I googled this on my cell phone. Another site is Independent.com check Garden Hose Safety.

Watch those neverkink hoses. Not sure on the RV one linked above but the regular ones are really bad hoses. My boss bought one for the shop and when that thing sits out in the sun for a few minutes it will spray nearly pure foam out of it untill you get good cold water out of it. It looks like someone squirted Dawn dish soap in there. - GoostoffExplorerI have 200 feet of Flexzilla garden hose that gets used to fill the tank. We never drink the water in the trailer anyway. I do have a 25 foot white hose that gets use for my black tank flush system. :)

60 years old and never used a white hose. There's my answer. Short and simple. I am using much better quality (non-white) ones now than I use to.
I guess it goes along with all that lime I sat on as a kid (see previous post in the "lime" thread!) And in grade school, I use to chew on led pencils. (If only they'd bring back that radio active stuff in face cream and put real "coke" back in Coca Cola!):B
I spent my crucial formative years at public schools filled with asbestos, and at recess we'd all go outside and chew on wood chips laced with arsenic and pcb's.
the nanny-state folks have shut down nearly ever old playground around town for contaminated top soil now.
lots of things to worry about I guess. - AJRExplorerNot trying to start something here. But “Drink from a garden hose that has had water "sitting" in it and laying out in the sun. Once you do you will have the answer to the question and you will get the white drinking water hose.” Is why I directed my answer to you. I do that every summer. Plus my guests do and no one gets sick.
OP, get the white hoses. Do with them what you think is right.
Funny, as an adult “advisor” at Philmont Scout Ranch twice. We always had a night where a stream filled a cistern (right term?) with mountain water. The second trip we took the lid off of the water collection “dam”. In the bottom were four big fat dead worms. But the water was really great.
No one ever got sick.
Life teaches you things out there. That is why I go out “there”.
