- tylerhomesteadmExplorerIt is a 99 rexhall rexair that is sitting level. I has been sitting with slides for 2 months. The slides are hydraulic with the large posts underneath. I'm not very rv literate.

There are usually wipers on the top and sides that squeegee water and debris from the slide They do little if any sealing. The seals are a bulb type that are pressed against the slide lips when it opens or closes. Most leaks seem to be due the bulb not being adequately compressed or with something letting water past it.
The blade seals should do a good job of keeping water out.
Now depending on the type of slide drive you have, that could be the cause. Cable and gear drives provide a path for rain water to get past the seals. - Clay_LExplorerThere are usually wipers on the top and sides that squeegee water and debris from the slide They do little if any sealing. - wildtoadExplorer III suspect your owners manual will indicate that during heavy rains, storms, you're better off retracting your slides for this very reason.
- newman_fulltimeExplorer IIIf it is schwinteck its going to do that in hard driving rain if it has the old style rails.Water getsd in the rail follows it in
- beemerphile1ExplorerDoes it always do this?
Is the RV level?
Are the seals in good condition and correct position?
